You can't say I didn't try to make you happy
I'm sorry I wasn't the friend you wanted
I'm sure you'll find more people of your kind

You can't say I didn't try to be nice to you
It's not my fault you're such a grouchy *****
Maybe once you die, you'll be happier

I'm sorry you & my dad don't get along
You can't say I would be here without him
You're so damned heartless, how dare you think your God

You can't say we didn't try to beat the odds
No matter what I'll still love you forever
I pray things one day will get better

I can't say I'm the most perfect person in the world
I'm not, & I never will be
You'll just have to deal with that til I'm dead & gone
