Today

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Today I was told to sit and make sure I had a hard drink
today I was told that another one of them had to go
another one of my friends left me behind to stay on this earth and live on without her
do we all remember those people
the ones we knew long ago
the ones that we loved since we were 5
the ones we thought it was ok not to talk to in a year or few
cause next year when we go to where we grew up years before
they will always be there,
just like they were before
well today a friend who I loved since forever died
today a friend who I haven’t seen in awhile died
and now its like I should have..
could have...
wanted to...
didn’t.
When one friend goes its like reliving all the rest
when one girl leaves
its like a wound bleeding again
today I was left behind again
to live a life alone without her
on this earth with one less friend

Dedicated to: Steph, Donna, Richie, grandma, aunt Rita, and those who I didn’t know, that I wish I did....to all those who left us alone to live another day without them.. God bless, and May you all rest in peace

It is so difficult to lose friends and family and yes it is a devastating thing. But you have them in your heart and mind and memories last forever. They are always with you.
