Throughout my life...
There... many an angel... have walked...
Some at my side...
While others...
Silently... through my life
Sometimes... unheard... unseen...
While they quietly slip... behind the scenes
Leaving only... a trace of their existence behind...
An angelic footprint... upon the heart... the mind
An unexpressed feeling of love and hope...
That can only be expressed through the compassion in those...
Beautiful eyes...
That haunt me so...
You'll always be... someone so very special... to me...
An angel at my side...
'Cause you're one of the many angels in my life
Whether you know it or not...
You've touched my life in so many ways...
You'll never know...
You'll never begin to understand...
That's... why I consider you... to be... so very special to me
An angel at my side...
Just knowing you're around...
Helps to keep my feet on solid ground...
When I'm tempted and tried...
Of having done all those bad things...
People often do in life...
When things go wrong... as they usually do...
Who do I call on?
God... who sends... you...
An angel at my side
You've always been within the depths... of my heart... my soul...
Every since the day... we first met...
When you stole... the very essences of me...
My heart... all so very innocently
And now... you walk... slow...
Treading softly through my dreams at night
A hauntingly beautiful image of an angel...
Illuminating the darkness of my life... so very bright
Some deeds go unknown... some deeds go unseen...
You're an inspiration to me
I know... you've got battles to fight on your own...
Fighting for your independence...
An identity... you can call your own...
But are you really ready for all the responsibility?
My angel...
My angel...
Please listen to me...
Life is... so very fragile...
And so is... love...
So is... a heart that's been broken... once...
Handle... it with care...
Handle... it with prayer...
Show true love to those... who have shown true love to you
And those that love you with all their heart...
Don't shun them...
Don't turn them away...
Find the love in your heart... to reach out to them...
Each and every day...
And forgive them... for all the wrongs... they've done to you...
Do you know what... the greatest thing is... that you can do?
It's to lay down your life... for the life of another...
That's one thing... I would certainly do for you... my sister... my brother
I would do it... in a heartbeat... for any of the angels in my life...
And especially for those at my side
Life's not easy...
Never has been...
Never will be....
And never is...
Don't give up...
Don't give in...
Above all... don't quit...
On anything and everything...
'Cause faith will get you through...
And God will send you... an angel or two
May my words of love...
Leave footprints... upon your heart...
May they build you up...
Not tear you apart...

This was quite long and usually I don't make it to the end of loooong poems. But yours I read to the very end! Every word, and loved it for I have been there, in both places.
