His Secret

Contributed by parkman on Friday, 18th June 2004 @ 02:16:02 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

There was a massacre, at the village school
Caused by a crazed mind, or mindless fool
Who walked in with a gun and let it loose
When his mind had finally, blown a fuse

Children slumped where they sat, or fell to the floor
The clean tiles going red, as the blood started to pour
Chaos abound, as pupils and teachers all
Ran for cover, trying to escape this downfall

The sadists face, was a picture of torment and pain
As the bullets kept flying, like droplets of rain
What was in his mind, what were his thoughts
As he kept firing, kept calling the shots

One class was wiped out, the average age was eight
As he moved from room to room, his face full of hate
Making his way to the hall, pupils still ran for cover
All still screaming, some dying or dead, some aching all over

Once in the hall, the tables would turn
For into his mouth, he placed, the barrel of the gun
His head blew apart, his mind was no more
And nobody would know his secret, what his cause was for

That was a really great read. It's so sad how people have to resort to doing such things.
