Dream Stealer

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 18th June 2004 @ 11:32:21 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I am the one who steals your dreams,
Replacing them with haunted screams,
Screams that chill your very soul,
Make your blood run ice cold.

All you see is death and pain,
Disturbing images that drive you insane,
Black dreams and nightmares,
Ghosts and demons that freeze your stare.

You are afraid to fall asleep,
Your pillow is sodden from where you weep,
Crying and praying for the horrors to cease,
But while I’m here you will get no peace.

I love to creep into your mind,
There are so many dreams to find,
And then pollute them full of fear,
Take every smile and add a sneer.

To witness your terror makes me laugh,
I’m taking you down this darkened path,
Leading you into a nightmare filled hell,
A place that you’ll get to know well.
