Grief

piper plays his song and you follow
entranced in his movements
his song of praise
dance
follow the beat
feel the vibe
and when it stops
reality hits you
right back in the face
this place
unknown true?
im lost
and all ive got is you
one look too soon
youve fled
and left me to shed
my skin lays down on the ground
and my soul above watching you
rip off my skin
tearing it to shreds
eating into my organs
spilling my metalic blood
shimmering in the dark
i catch a glimpse of your eyes
you lick your lips
catching the dribble of blood
you skim away
and i see what is left of me
a carcos
bone and hair
i see for the first time
what i really was
a fool to let you lure me
