Is this the kind of honesty
You have come to expect
From the sort of leader
You have come to elect?
He can’t admit he was wrong
And he manipulated you all along
He decided what to do
Then figured what to tell you
Every key word and phrase was used
To manipulate, target and confuse
Now when caught in the lie
He simply continues the same cry
Is this the kind of honesty
You have come to expect

am i the only one really bored with hearing about all the terribleness of george w bush??
he may not be the sharpest tool in the box, but he did what had to be done, didn´t mess about.
Or would you rather have stayed in your little peaceful world, all la-di-da, until the day that sadam did something that would make 11th September look like a little car accident.

ignore kristeee. She needs to face facts. You tackled a subject that is quite controversial and I applaud you for that. It is well done, origional and openly honest. Keep writing!
And for anyone else who plans to comment on this politically, they should remeber that that is not their place. This is a forum for poetry. Poetry is supposed to be without inhibitions. Comment on the quality and keep unwanted political rants to youself.
