Caught off guard by the parasite
The tiniest creature settles
In the dark black cold recess
A child’s mind is tainted
Drinking her innocence
Swallowing her laughter
Stealing her soul
Every tear gives strength
Wounds display battles lost
Morning brings an angry sun
Blind eyes turn away, calloused
Walls of hatred form a cage
Hopeless she faces her foe
The war is ended
Parasite conquers another victim
Humanity dies and drains away
The sun and moon fade to black
Numbing pain pulses throughout
Pale and lifeless form reflected
No longer living, no longer dying
Coldest black swallows another star
