Conversation haunting your dreams
Simple little words can craze your mind
A small amount of time with a single person
Can change your life forever
One little experiment can lead to a life’s addiction
Years can go by, it could seem like only days
Unable to remember what happened to your life
Where you ended up is nowhere good
Stranded with the cravings
No money left over to spare
A dream of a happy family with kids including a dog
Was just a slap in the face
It wasn’t just a phase that passed
It was a life long journey
Of pleasure and pain
Loss and gain
Now sober
With a job
No more sleeping in the dirt
Still left with the cravings
They will always be here
And you will always be fighting them
