Runaway, why do you do it, causing so much pain
Not a single thought of those who love you, driving them insane
Put them through torture, you don't even care
They worry sick not knowing, if you're alright out there
Runaway, why don't you stop and think, about all the torment
Parents having sleepless nights, mother crying, all energy spent
Waiting on a phone call or the door to knock, waiting for you
Stomachs wretching up in knots, you haven't a clue
Runaway, instead of just leaving, face it and stay
Everyone has ups and downs, that's life’s little way
Whatever the problem, even if you think it's a curse
Running won't help, it'll just make it worse
Runaway, don't bottle things up, sit down and talk
Your parents are there for you, with love solid as a rock
They will guide you through life, they were young one day
Feel their love, hear their words, stop being a runaway

excellent write. i however do not believe that all parents are that way, so sometimes they have to find someone else to go to. |
