I giggle and dance
all day and night
in my pleasant
numbness.
Cover my arms with
flowing sleeves and
twirl among the exuberant
dead.
Paint pretty red pictures
all up my body,
priestess of the
pain.
Happily insane I
play with
scarlet
drips.

I know people who go through this, and it vexes me. It vexes me to read your poem, as it is such an excellent description of the inner sadness pain in having to medically inspire happiness.
