eyes like ice, watery blue, with a frozen stare
the windows to the soul inside
cold and morbid, absent of life
free from feeling, alone
hair like golden silk, gleaming and light
the curls forced out, made to be straight
words would slide off, so nothing could touch
her porcelain face
slender and small, her limbs looked so fragile
her skirt was torn and dirty
her blouse was missing buttons
her body stained with congealed blood
she didn’t walk, she floated and stalked
she had more daggers and knives than space
she beamed from a light shining from some other place
to looked to solid to be alive
her wings were black
she looked so young to be so old
she was two hundred though she looked five
stained and tainted by too hard a life
her halo died so long ago
some now doubt its original existence
no one remembers her beautiful smile
so now she’s become the sullen child
