Superman

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Words that echo through my soul
"I hope you find your Superman"
Words that taught me what I know
"Too bad you're beautiful"

S ave me from my broken self esteem-
U nderstand what you meant to me,
P erfection is a word I'll never utter again-
E ven when I know it's here,
R emembering when 'I Loved You'-
M ade everything so much better,
A nd dismissed all the bitter after tastes-
N ow it's time to forget.

~She knew he was the closest she could get
He thought it all was just a joke
She told him all the things he needed to hear
He gave her up- it was her pride that broke.~

Even SUPERMAN can't save the day
What makes me think anyone can?

Sweetie, there is no superman. There are those we build up in our minds and those that fit the description of what we think we are looking for, but not one of them can fulfill all your dreams. Only you can and then you find one that can enhance your dreams. Love but only after you learn to love yourself also.

Hugs,
Rita

I like the didactive part, and of course, the rest is your honesty and candour, at its captivating best.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts, Lindsey.
