Dad From A Distance

He watched her laugh& grow,
Oh how he misses her so,
Feels the pain of not holding her,
Everyday he wakes he suffers.
He carries a picture around with him,
As the chances of seeing her are slim,
He will miss watching her smile,
The last time he held her has been awhile.
He desperately misses his little girl,
Without her there is a big gap in his world,
In time he thinks she will forget her Dad,
And all the fun shared and the bond they had.
Her school drawings hang on his wall,
He longs to hold her hands, cradle her falls,
All he has to remind him is his past,
These painful memories will forever last.
I see the pain when he says her name,
Why does his ex have to play this cruel game,
He has so much love to give his daughter,
She is slipping through his fingers like water.
It’s hard to witness the man I love in pieces,
As time goes by his upset increases,
He longs to tuck her up in bed,
But all he has is the pictures in his head.
Father’s day is a heart wrenching time,
As the past is still fresh in his mind,
He shouldn’t have to be a Dad from a distance,
As he has shown his love with so much persistence.

one of my best friends just went through the same for 4 years, now when he can no longer go to court she hands their son over to him with full custody, she never wanted him and would rather do her own thing and cannot be bothered being a mom, so, even though it took a long time in my friends instance hopefully for you and your sweetie it will be much sooner, children need their daddys, and loving parents, my best to you both, hugs n' love nessa

I'm afraid that this is what will become of my dad....my mom and my step-father are forcing me and my siblings to move to Arkansas. I know I'm not going to see my dad that much anymore and I'm going to miss him.
I think it's important for you to tell Mark that he's not the only one who's missing somebody, because there's a little girl out there who can't see him. I'm sure his little girl misses him, just as much as he misses her.
Take care
Blessings
Love, Jenna |

beautiful poem. it makes me sad because i didn't get a chance to grow up with my dad, he died when i was young. mark should be able to be there for his daughter, so she doesn't have the same empty spot in her heart. i'm sure she misses her daddy too. best wishes and good luck.
