Dripping Blood

Contributed by essentially9 on Tuesday, 15th June 2004 @ 11:25:15 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Dripping Blood

You write poetry
To tell the world
How you feel
You reject their thoughts
They aren't good enough
You think you're right

Do you even care
Who you hurt?
Do you even care
About the dripping blood?
You don't care
About anyone but yourself
And you want to kill yourself
You care for nothing
You don't amount to anything

You are filled with hate
And ruin everyone else's life
I had pity for you
But that evaporated
I don't care if you kill yourself
I cared before I knew
Who you really were
You ignited the flame
In my heart of hate

You write poetry
To gain sympathy
The world no longer cares
You might as well end it right here
Because no one cares
If you make it through
Even you

The world no longer cares
And it's your fault
In the end
You just wanted attention
For your bleeding wrists
You just wanted attention
Like it wasn't enough
The scars you inflict
Are in vain
The blood no longer drips
Your veins hold nothing
But the hatred

Live or die
It doesn't matter
You never lived
You were dead within

Truer words were never written, and the inspiration (and inspirator) is quite evident. Every word is tinged with undeniable honesty, and the entity about whom this is written should study this as their bible.

I agree with every last letter. Excellently done, couldn't have said it better myself.

Stabbed in the back,
-V.S.
