Illusion is the master
confusion reigns
nobody cares or hears
when you fall
there is only maddening laughter,
I pretend not to listen
do my time
stay in line
though i do not recall
what really matters.
Dreaming of a feeling
of a tender touch
and a warmth of love
hmm
a sweet surrender,
the sceaming of a inmate
shatter the moment
i bang my head on the wall
because i have forgotten
what i was trying to remember.
I try to hide away
only to be held
captive
by my cells four walls
that let me know
i will never be the master,
so i will continue
to play the game
though i don't know
what it is called
and it doesn't matter.

I found the way you shattered the moment.
It went from warmth to frozen within a nanosecond.
I like it. The title drew me in, as it was very noticeable.
Thanks for sharing. |

Very wonderful piece. I like it a lot.
"Illusion is the master" this is very true, but illusion can always be manipulated. I find that when confined by four cruel walls, illusions of my own making are sometimes the only way to cushion myself from "bang[ing] my head on the wall" too hard.
Hang in there. All walls must fall... eventually. |
