happiest day of your life

Contributed by deadbloodyrose on Tuesday, 15th June 2004 @ 02:00:41 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

today my body was laid to rest
very few went to the funeral
you attended to look good
so it seemed you cared for me
aren't parents spose to
no tears filled your eyes
i know this for a fact
you can't lie to me
i watched from above
you stood there emotionless
on your face anyways
inside you were jumping
leaping with glee
you held a tissue
to add to the effect
so you looked sad
you didn't kiss me
like others did
you saw my coffin
you went up to it
to where my body lay
a smile creeped across
for a brief second
but it was there
you laid down a rose
a dead pink flower
something you knew
knew that i wouldn't like
not once did you
did you feel
any pain or sorrow
you watched it go down
the casket disappear
fall beneath the ground
your only feeling was joy
happiness i was gone
you picked it out
my identifier, head stone
it was boring, plain
enscribed into it
Ami, birth date- death date
hardly costed you a penny
in fact you gained
you earned money off my death
my life insurance
the food brought to you
my possesions taken
what you didn't want
you made a profit
this is the happiest day of your life
im glad you're happy
'm happy as well
happy im not living
going through pain
goodbye ill see you later
ill visit you on your date
your death date

I've totally felt that way-that the people that are supposed to care about you the most actually seem to care the least. Great expression! Thanks for sharing!
