Tears

Contributed by pixie on Tuesday, 15th June 2004 @ 11:03:18 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Tears fall from my eyes,
Like raindrops fall from the skies,
Caressing my cheeks as they trickle so,
Tickling my face as they freely flow.

Down my face my tears travel,
As this pain in my mind I try to unravel,
Feelings of being all alone,
Without any place to call my home.

The droplets of sadness reach my lips,
Melting into them, they softly kiss,
Disappearing without leaving a trace,
But this feeling inside I can not erase.

My eyes are a window to my soul,
And so from here my pain unfolds,
Unfold in the form of bitter tears,
That leave me vulnerable and expose my fears.

Not many things can make me cry,
I’m always left with the question …why?
Why do my tears have to fall,
Why does crying leave me feeling so small.

I really liked,

My eyes are a window to my soul.

How true! Very beautiful poem. Crying is a crazy, refreshing, sad thing! Nicely depicted.

Your words go out touching those who read.
Showing us your vulnerable true self. Your sound is so sad. I hope you feel better. Great poem.
