A broken heart may bring you pain
And make you want to die
But life is too short to reflex
On things that pass you by
No one placed on a pedestal
Will stand beside you long
And no one loved forever
Will make your pain less strong
Longing for another chance
With someone who has flown
Will slap your face with memories
Of feelings that you’ve shown
When drawing anger from our pain
Our healing has begun
It’s when we turn back time, and smile
We know that we have won

Ahh, yes...longing for a second chance with someone who has flown DOES slap you in the face with memories. So true. Well put, Dave. Very nice and full of inspiration.
