enlightenment through pain

Contributed by Cancer on Tuesday, 15th June 2004 @ 12:01:04 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

with each word of degredation
with each fist into my teeth
i'm coming closer to understanding
closer to knowing everything

with each cut upon my body
with each scar upon my heart
one step closer to knowing myself
one step further from "humanity"

curse me
hate me
smash me
erase me
devour everything that's left inside of me
beat me
and leave me
in a pool of blood and tears
it's all a part of my becoming
another stage of my evolution

(enlightenment
i rise above
a vacuous star
emptying myself
and filling the hollow with pain
striving for the final goal
to become the monster
that i always pretended to be)

beyond the boundary
of truth and lie
i will exist as a word
screamed with fury
whispered with fear
sobbed in despair
i will shine like the most intense flame of hell
and when i am done
no mortal means
will find an end to me

bleed me
remind each scar of it's birth
tear wounds in my mind
eat away my face
i don't need it anymore
i will rise like a ghost
from the ashes of assisted self-destruction
and blink it all away

(with the eye of a god
and the hand of Abaddon
i will set it in reverse
and evaporate into the womb of Void)

Now I remember why I don't read much of your work.

"tear wounds in my mind
eat away my face"

It's like being mentally impaled by a 1000watt cattle-prod. Sizzling and electrifying, yet disturbing and painful . . .

This was my 999th comment.

Keep writing, and I may have sufficiently recovered to offer you my 1999th . . .

As different as we are, everything you write i relate to in my own way.

striving for the final goal
to become the monster
that i always pretended to be

I cant even speak, its so perfect

Always,

Astoundingly effulgent write, you've hit upon so much in this poem. I want to quote each and every line, they're all so richly detailed and full of meaning.

And I love the philisophy; it's "that which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger.".....twisted and taken into a whole 'nother stratosphere.

Stung by 1001 scorpions,
