Normal one

Many of you know this feeling, its a poem that many can relate to.

The nomal one turns and smiles,
cares for herself in a normal way,
seeking aid from others when needed.
Never hurts herself nor hides in holes,
to deep to climb out of.

The normal one i once knew,
they dont know the pain i see,
nor do they care for those who
cut themselves in vain.
Her normal ways dont allow
that kind of unhealthly love.

These normal ones see only lonliness,
in a dark soul who turned to tourture,
but dear these cuts upon my skin
tell no lies.
They are the tears and smiles i use each day,
these cuts that bleed lonely tears
are what keep me here.

The normal one laughs with others,
hiding the truth beneth a beautiful sweater,
keeping the tears of blood at bay.
She loves these cuts so many despise,
for they show weakness.
Yet these normal ones dont know,
that these cuts are stregth..
for we could take our life instead.

The cuts that line my arm
are felt by many,
they too turned down this same road,
they know the beauty of self inflicted pain,
and the silence tears of blood carry.
This is a pain we crave,
a pain we need.

Call us sadistic and depressed
but with these cuts upon our skin,
we can face a new day,
with smiles and laughter.
For this pain we sometimes conceal
holds us so close at night
and brings us to a place
where we too can be the normal one.

The normal one turns and smiles,
knowing the knife is close at hand.
