To you I owe
something
beautiful immeasurable
lifetimes of gratitude
never to be spoken
your soul embraces mine
your gift this world
comforts in the darkness
the rhythm of my life
your pulse
never fading
Dreams littered with yellow petals
crushed and wilting
in my child's fists
phone book paper rabbits
and you standing adorned
the most beautiful
costume jewellery
my memories
Emerald.
This life without you
offers nothing to be passed
the emptiness still haunting
in my mind
little revelations
with every corner turned
on borrowed strength
from you.
Thorns pierce my skin
my blood drips
onto your plot
this character
constructed in your wake
figs picked before their prime
sticky fingers rotten strawberries
courageous girls turned inside out
daring the light
to cast a shadow
on this life.

This is a very good poem. I like the imagery of flowers to frienship. |

I like this poem of memory and of loss. It is very evocative and conveys just the right feeling. IMHO.

I like the imagery lots and its done perfect.
My favorite part on this was
This life without you
offers nothing to be passed
the emptiness still haunting
in my mind
little revelations
with every corner turned
on borrowed strength
from you.
