Into Baghdad my son had to go.
It's Sadr City, now I know
The U.S.military had to show it"s might.
So thats where he had to fight.
Besides him I have two sons,
But he"s the one with the gun.
He fights for what he thinks is right.
Behind him is the Cavalry might.
He was wounded the outher day.
It was slight, not the military way, so he say
He wasn't hurt that bad,
And of that, I was glad.
He has a son and a daughter.
And of him I was the father.
I hate the way he has to live.
But I love him and his kids.
He's my son,
To me he is still a kid
