The One Who Doesn't Care

Contributed by iluvpencils on Sunday, 13th June 2004 @ 08:10:27 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I'm the one with the blank stare
The girl with the long hair
I'm the one who doesn't care anymore
SI'm the one who thinks everyone has
left without here
I'm the only one still standing here

I'm the one, then one with the bruised lefs
I'm the one who, who said
"I don't need you"
Now I'm the one who doesn't care anymore

The girl with the chipped nails
Everything I do I fail
I'm still waiting for my bus
I'm still waiting ot get out of this place
I'm the one with the faint smile
Dull glarea nd my angry stare

Aren't we a lot alike
Two faded souls,
Our minds on strike
And everything about you has diminished
I'm just waiting for this route to finish

Everything here is wasted
You can tell by looking at our faces easily

All my life empty eye sockets
Staring at us
And we're hollow within
Is it better if we never begin?
Not expected to finsh that way
Not left here to diminish into
barren nothingness
that way

I'm the girl with the big dreams
Even though it seems
I'm not doing anything at all
But my life hasn't lost all meaning
And now I'm only thinking
About how I've wanted to change

I'm the one, the one with the bruised legs
I'm the one who, who said
"I don't need you"
Now I'm the one who doesn't care anymore

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
