insomniac
|
like a current of ice. air pours into my lungs
and your tears become clotted drops of blood
before they touch my trembling hands
combusting in the distance of this road
and I barely notice the sonority
that whispers between the noise in this town
I don’t remember the names of the streets
that displaced my emotions so many times
how obscure that I became icebound in your smile
