Tick-Tocking Away

I don't know if you have felt the pain
Of life just ebbing away,
Knowing that each day is just tick-tocking
Your entire life away,
Maybe you thought that things were better
If just placed off to the side,
Well tonight, I know that I can't do that,
Because I feel that pain inside.
Most of my friends don't know
That I have an illness, or some malady,
That's keeping me from keeping up
With the rest of the world's insanity,
I wish that I could be normal,
But something is dreadfully wrong,
And as everyone watches, my life,
Is just tick-tick-tocking along.
If one person could just understand
The reason I'm in pain,
Emotionally, and physically,
Always in a strain,
Maybe just one person notices
That I'm looking odd today,
Like I am losing sleep,
Or that I may be losing my way,
If someone would just notice
That I seem a little bit weaker today...
I wish they would notice, so that I don't have to tell them,
That my life is tick-tocking away.

| what a wonderful write from a wonderful lady... life tick tocks away for all of us but for others it is more of a strain... i hope the strain isn't too constant for you... keep up your great poetry i enjoy your writings immensely |

| Wow just brillant. I really enjoyed reading this poem.It was very touching and filled with such emotion and such pain. I could relate. Some people don't notice and it hurts. Nicely written keep up the good work. Hope you get better. |
