The Sea of no Return

Contributed by freespirit on Sunday, 13th June 2004 @ 09:29:18 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The sea of no return

As she stands near the cliff edge she gazed off into the distance
A ship is heading out to sea then disappears beyond the horizon
Remembering so well the sorrow and pain that she had to endure
Forever searching for the ship that disappeared into
The darkness of the night never to return
Her one true love lost forever to the dark depth of the sea
A breeze suddenly sends a chilling sensation over her
As she wraps her shawl around her shoulders
A voice echoes from the sea
The moon reflects her beauty upon the water
Yet she feels a sense of the unknown as fear grasps her heart
As the white waves slap up against the jagged rocks below
She sees an image of her lost love a smile comes to her face
She takes a deep breath and gracefully falls to her death below
At last they are joined in the sea of love

Whoa, the imagery in this poem is very good and the ending very provoking.

Lovely piece of work. Sometimes I feel that pull to go to him. Responsibility to my family keeps me here. But sadness and lonliness can make you think of it at times.

Plain to see there is a magnifcance about your work that transends artistic redundance.
this is a most beautiful peice, infringing upon the hearts vulnerability. Such emtional feeling
is implied tainted with remorseful regrets. A
most worthy writter you are.

Ben
