She’s adorned with a tarnished halo,
to crown her head of confusion,
Writhing, Asphyxiating thorns,
Strangle her twisted heart.
My pallid fingers of fragility,
will recreate the lost illusion,
Of our sordid memories,
Now ripped and shattered apart.
I would wither and wilt in the shadows,
to rot down and decay,
Through my ruptured veins would seep
The blood of eternal sadness,
Buried inside our self inflicted wounds,
The reinvented recollections lay,
My blinking ethereal eyes of pain,
flicker shades of madness.
I analyse her dark, sinister crow’s wings,
grimace as they burn alive and on fire,
While those former delicate angel wings,
Fade to ashes and dust.
By shedding anguished tears of blood,
I traced the tracks of this liar,
Swallowed whole by rejection,
I was left to die in dismay, and lust.

| Dark but captivating. I guess I can relate to it in a way - I'm constantly analysing myself and I've been left less than content with some of the things I've found out about myself. I've been told it's not a very healthy habit but it's just something I've always done. |
