Giant and the Swallow

Contributed by crow on Sunday, 13th June 2004 @ 02:45:28 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

What had he thought,
the tiny Swallow.

She perches on hands
of the giant that could
crush her.

Seems to weep for the mate
that has fall`in.

What is love,
as he sees the Swallow cry,
what had he thought
of the soulless Swallow.

She rests on his palm,
both tamed.
the giant, and small creature.

Her voice, his sadness,
to witness a Swallow`s
soul passing.............Crow [Today a small swallow
died in my hands, it
amazed me the courage
of his mate, as she sat
on my hand. How she must
have loved him...

Wow, that was a very beautiful piece, thanks for sharing it with us. What I liked most about this is how you didn' t overstate things but still you brought out a lot of emotion in it, especially in the last verse which is my fave. Congrats.
