Ideas whirling
Spinning
Around and around
Circles and figure eights
An intricate dance
That I long to be a part of
I wish to be a part of those words
At one with each letter
Shake hands with every syllable
Meet and greet
Time to mingle
I want to dance
With the words
Whirling
Spinning
Around and around
Circles and figure eights
The world around me blurs
I become so involved
In each word
Each letter
Each syllable
My pen and I
We are part of this intricate dance
Whirling
Spinning
Each delicate loop
Each fierce dash
The cross of a “t”
The dot of an “i”
With my pen, my thoughts, my words
I get so wrapped up
This intricate dance
Nothing else matters to me
Just this intricate dance.
