A trip across the ocean, to the land that is downunder
To beautiful Australia, that could be called the 8th wonder
The trip is very tiring, and also extremely long
But once you arrive there, you know this is where you belong
All races and religions, everywhere you go
A helping hand from everyone, if there is something you need to know
Going from city to city, across this vast land
Its beauty just breathtaking, surrounded by sea and sand
It is not hard to understand, why people come and stay
To this beautiful continent, that is so far away

| let me just show my extreme bias here, (I am an Aussie). What a lovely poem! It describes the Australian people in their diversity and friendlieness well and I would certainly use breathtaking as a word to describe much of our beautiful land. Aaah how lucky I am. |

One of the countries I have always wanted to visit. It holds a fascination for me. Seems to be a great place with all the diversity.

ahhh... we are twins bruce lol, i love australia too, it was amazing and awesomely beautiful country, truely lovely people, we rode camels in the desert and saw ayers rock, i cried when i left, but am happy to be home, hugs n' love nessa
