Behind the dancing shadows
Stands a withered heart
Its flesh so pure in pain
So raged yet so tame
Behind the smiling faces
Stands a lonely frown
Desperation formed the royal,
The diamonds and the gems,
Of a golden crown
Behind the lively face
Exist the hurt and sting
Of the depression’s pace
Slowly, yet painfully
That the withered heart cant take
Royal with misery
U begin to realize the lively face
Is a fake
I surrender with these hands of mine
My mind twisting, turning, pulling, hurting
All to take back time
Time, so precious, like a crystal glass
Day after day, week after week
Happiness quickly passed
How I long to take the glass
Into these shivering hands and
Demolish the quick pace
But behind those dancing shadows
And all those smiling faces
The glass remains un-reached
My mind, twisting, turning, pulling, hurting
Telling my lungs to breathe.
