Her banner is Red, White, and Blue
She has been our flag
More than just a symbol
She is freedom
She represents who we are
The good, the bad, and chosen few
Those who bravely served under her
She covered the caskets of those we loved
Given to wifes, mothers, and families
By a grateful nation
Saying thank you for giving us your best
Those loved ones who answered the call
Whenever I see you
A blowing in the breeze
I stop and remember
And yes, fall down, on my knees
Proud to know
What she represents
Glad I am able to partake
In freedom for my heart and soul
Long may she wave over the land of the free
