To Miss You

To miss you, is to remember your betrayal,
how you left me for a life of no life at all-
and watched me disintegrate into
all the parts of you I despised.
You take pride in my anger,
like it was you who led me to stand for me.
I stood alone, against you-
never to be forgiven.
I won normalcy - lost love.
Am I now to fall for your words?
They are the same as they always were,
Empty, merely dreams,
Surely what you wanted,
but could never give to me.
