Shadow of Loneliness

selfstruggles

Why do your fierce claws persist in piercing me?
Why does your cumbersome shadow suffocate the tranquility,
Why do your parasites eat away and hollow out my happiness?
And refill the hole with this unbearable emptiness?
The power fizzles out and I sense your presence around me,
You silence the phone and push everyone away from me,
Cigarette smoke swirling, creating images of his forgotten face,
That dispersed into nothing in my mind's ashtray of waste.

"Cigarette smoke swirling, creating images of his forgotten face,
That dispersed into nothing in my mind's ashtray of waste."
Couldn't have said it better. |
