She was isolated,
On that eventful day.
An innocent game,
Turned into something dark.
Frightened little child,
Scared to tell the truth.
Plagued with the thoughts,
That she was just no use.
Everything was all her fault,
Trapped between those walls.
Thinking what had she done,
To deserve all this painful hurt.
Cursed by the evil.
A naïve little girl.

I read this as terribly heartwrenching, sad, and extremely personal. If I'm interpreting correctly, my heart goes out to you, diamond. This piece is on the short side - but definate full and powerful nonetheless. Very well done! |
