Opposite Day
June 11, 2004
Yesterday and today there was a way,
And it's called Opposite Day.
Not mad but glad,
Not sad but happier than I ever had.
Why should I waste my days,
Drifting and drooping in an excuse of pain?
Not anymore, because now...
Well, now it's different.
I'm not,
Not depressed but impressed,
Not lonely but lovely.
And I could keep it up,
It feels like, forever.
This time I surface,
I won't dive anymore.
How could I refuse,
The joy in my body?
Not tied but free,
Not her, but me.
This time, this time,
It's different, see...
There's a way,
It's called Opposite Day.
