Touching the Happy
June 11, 2004
Look out ladies and gentlemen, here I am.
Make way for me, or get run down,
I won't trip in my stride,
When had I realized?
It's like a good song you love,
Over and over on the CD.
Like laying in grass and feeling the itch,
Just to know you can.
Move aside, I'm coming through,
And I won't wait for you.
Catch up or be left behind,
When had I realized?
It's like butterflies in your stomach,
Because you can't believe to love it.
Like bubbles in the tub and candles on the floor,
Just because it's fun.
Keep out, out of my way.
Stay close or far, but I'm looking ahead.
You can't block the clear I see in my head.
When had I realized?
It's like standing and screaming,
In a vacant parking lot.
Like touching the happy,
Just because it looks you in the eye.
