I’m lying alone
on the cold hard wood floor
and midnight really is
the darkest hour
and I know the light will
come back at one
but how does that help me now
so I’m letting out
a deep low moan
that wakes the earth
and shakes the ground
and all I can think
while I lie awake
is how I need you now
but you’re not here to save me
and I feel so used
like I mean nothing
and it hurts so badly
porcelain breaking
and this water’s leaving
my mouth dry
but it’s all I have
to hold me over
until tomorrow... unless I die
