Freedom for All

Contributed by Youngster on Wednesday, 16th October 2002 @ 06:15:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Patriotic

On the fourth of july, 1776,
our country was founded, we will never forget.

The price that was paid for freedom for all,
was the priceless lives of the men who did fall.

They fell at the revolution, they fell in world wars,
they fell by the musket, they fell by the sward.

They fell in Korea, and in Vietnam,
they fought at the gulf, and in Panama.

They paid the price, of freedom for all,
they paid the price, the men who did fall.

They carried our flag, the red, white, and blue,
they carried the future of me and of you.

When our freedom was challenged, and peace was no more,
they were ready, ready for war.

When the conflicts had ended, the dust it did fall,
on the soldiers who bought, the freedom for all.

They will live on in me, they will live on in you,
they will live on in our flag, the red, white, and blue.

Now we are soldiers, and as soldiers we'll stand,
On the line that guards, the future of this land.

And if freedom is challenged, and peace is no more,
we will be ready, be ready for war.

We'll cut down the wires, we'll knock down the walls,
we'll fight to defend the freedom for all.

I'll fight beside you, I'll fight till I fall,
and pay the price, of freedom for all.

May God Bless the United States of America

patriotism at it's very best, bravo to you youngster for that lovely little reminder of what we should all be looking to the days we have here where ever we live... i'm not native to the US land, but i've lived here a looooong time and have grown quite fond of it. geez, sounds like i'm talking about a person or a pastry!! LOL... umm, but this is good. a simple write, has a patriotic ding to it that you hear a lot. quite the exemplary write you wrote here. kudos! ;0) -daniel
