Time to Part Paths (graduation)

Contributed by imaginary on Friday, 11th June 2004 @ 10:20:16 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I think the music got quietter when you walked by
I had to fight the tears because i didnt want to cry
I dont know if i'll ever see you again after this
But you've got your path and i've got mine

I had to fake a smile when they called off your name
I saw your girlfreind smile; i tried to put the past away
When you walked off did you remember the time
You made your path and i made mine

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your life
Maybe some things are better left unsaid
So i wont walk over and say one last good bye
Instead i'll watch from a distance

If i ever see you again I'll make sure i look alright
Like i've finally taken the time to but this thing behind
I'll find the strenght to keep moving on
You move on your path and i'll move on mine

I hope you have wonderful rest of your life
Somethings are better left unsaid
So i wont walk over and make one last good bye
Because chances are you can read my mind

Did you happen to catch the look on my face
Were you looking for me when the choir sang
I think i smiled when i forgot the words
I know your girlfreind smiled when they called your name

I think the music got quietter when you walked by
I had to fight the tears because i didnt want to cry
I dont know if i'll ever see you again after this
But you've got your path and i've got mine

Not only is this truthful, it is artful, and very well expressed. Beautiful words - from the far past, almost, now. Too bad I did not see this back when it was first posted. Keep it up.

Andrew
