WHERE WERE YOU?

Contributed by lovingcritters on Friday, 11th June 2004 @ 08:09:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

This Poem was taken from Job Chapters
38 and 39.......Where God Almighty Himself
is asking Job where he was when he
created everything?

"WHERE WERE YOU?"

"Where were you when I created the mountains,
And formed the cloud formations around them?
Where were you when I created the clear blue lakes?
Stocked plentiful with beautiful Mallard Duck Drakes
Lakes crystal clear like a smooth mirror,
Reflections of beauteous creations everywhere?

Where were you when I created the clouds of storms?
Rumbles of thunders, lightening of fire that forms?
The Mighty Pine, bordering the mountains feet?
Rainstorm, hailstorm, or snowstorm, and their downbeat?

Where were you pray tell, when I created the boulders?
So huge, that even man cannot move them with his shoulders?
Perfect Palm trees created especially for the mild temperature?
Fruitages I created just for you, the bananas, cocoanuts, refresh your labor.

Where were you when I set the mountains afire?
Vivid sunsets that I paint for your enjoyment, like your campfire.
Can you make it snow? Falling upon dead trees afloat?
Can you make the trees stand alone? Create the wee mosquitoe?

When you copy one of my sunsets can you make it purple?
Lean the Palms to the right? Facing the water, scene blissful?
I'm the greatest "TimeKeeper" of the Universe, for you I do.......
The sunsets each time each day, timing precisely just for you!

Magnificent, Mammoth Mountains to help you understand.......
I too, am Magnificent, I too, am a Huge Mountain...... Love Expand!
Where were you when I created the cool lake fish for you to eat?
Surrounding you with peace, sport of the catch, lovely retreat?

Where were you when for variety some lakes I painted green?
Huge rocks repeating my designs, like a huge whale marine.
Waters so clear, so clean you can see my creations beneath.
Were you there when to you, I graciously, and lovingly bequeath?

Were you there when like the darkness of the blue lake.
My heart began to break, I allowed them to kill my son, for your sake?
Where were you when I made all and gave all of this just for you?
Puffs of clouds for comfort, and gave you hope as your canoe?

Why did I do all of this for man? Why do I keep you in mind?
Simply because I love you, and would never be unkind!

Dear ConSue - you created this in memory of your husband who loved mountains. which is so wonderfully good of you. The work from Job cannot but startle, the pictures are breathtaking.
Note that the book of Job is one of te most difficult books from the entire bible, and great theologians still grapple with it.
While Job was nowhere when it was created --sure thing, -there still is the unsettled issue of unjust and unexplained human suffering.
Its this the theologians grapple with not the Almignhty's creative power.
There is also Abraham, who takes the Almighty to task, before the destruction of Sodom - pleading for their lives.
Lo! AND GOD LOVED IT. Liked , nay loved to be defeated by His children.
A completely different aspect of God here.
Capisci?

Beautifully and very impressive work here ConSue.
Thanks a lot for composing and sharing
Love
Elizabeth
