On the Beach of crimson red
Littered with the forsaken dead
I sit in silence with bowed head
Hearing the screams of the forsaken dead
Flashes of light, fire, and dust
Falling gently to the earth’s crust
Once proud men now buried in sand
Nothing is left of my once proud band
Hopeless we charge up the beach
The green grass just out of our reach
Guns spit fire and the beach gives way
Dust covers the blue sky of day
Tarnished and battered I begin to crawl
Trying to reach that damned brick wall
Shots are heard the whistling of lead
Everything on the beach is still and dead
Will they remember us this day
Will any come to honor the price we pay
