Why didn't you tell me
You weren't ready for my love

I could've waited
I could've been content
With just a hug
In the begining
But now my life is so messed up
Cause our love is ending
You could've told me
You weren't ready for my love
When we first met
But now my destiny's set
If you would've told me
I could've moved on
And given my heart
To a girl
Who would cherish it
Not tease it nor break it
That would be true
And never forsake it
A girl that wouldn't do something
She couldn't face up to
Or tell me about
A girl that would show me love
But actually care about me too
That's a girl I can't live without
A girl that would've been nice
But for more than just show
A girl that wouldn't have looked
to somebody else
Cause she already knows
That shes my world
She's ready for my love
And she's my only girl
I'd watch her fall asleep
And chase the bad dreams away
A girls that's consistent
And will stand by me everyday
A girl that wouldn't double cross me
Right under my nose
A girl that would understand
That if i give you my time
You're the girl I chose
A girl that was ready for my love
And could have opened up
And shared her heart too
If you only would have told me
You weren't ready for my love
I could have given away my deepest hug
but to somebody else
Who could appreciate and use it
Not deny it or abuse it
My heart
That's what love takes
You took it
Now I'm left with heartbreak
Cause you never told me
That you weren't ready for my love
