How could I forget all those late nights,
tears runnin down my face hearin all the fights
Fights about money fights about time,
you two fought so much words started to rhyme
Tryin to be quiet cuz you knew we were in bed,
knowin we heard every word that was said
The anger in your voices could burn down the walls,
the saddness in my heart could of made many calls
Feelin so alone although my parents were there,
tryin to fall asleep just layin in a stare
The word divorce struck my heart like a knife,
I always thought you two would be togther for life
Its for the best right,no not in my eyez,
I can see into your hearts I can see your lonely cries
Why couldnt you try at least one last chance,
I know in my heart there was still romance
Now your apart and you both front the way you feel,
why are you so blind to see love is so real
I guess its over now the paper holds your ink,
I guess its to late now to sit down and think

if only more people read this... sad but true, a number of children grow up with this as divorce becomes even more common place. i still don't understand how 2 people who are married can come to that place, but "some things can never be explained..." yea, the juliana theory said that and i tend to believe it. it's good you wrote this to vent it out, put it out to remind yourself of important things. i hope that it isn't too late, as the last line reads. kudos! ;0) -daniel |

I think your poem is beautiful! I hope that you shared it with your parents, and that they are as moved by it as I was. Thanks=) |

I did think...long & hard, maybe not during but
definitly after the fact. I know how hard it has been on you & your brother and I am sorry.
Your poetry is an excellent way to deal with
all those painful emotions, that I know you both still at times carry. I wish I could of taken away the pain, but I couldn't. Sometimes people grow in different directions, or more so one stop growing at all. I hope by now
you see God took me out of a situation
where I needed to grow again, as I was dying inside. I think someday you & your brother will come to realize that...nothing happens by accident, and even in the things we do not always understand, there is a reason, and good does come from it...eventually.
I wish you a healed heart,
mom |
