Correcting data, US says terrorism incidents increased in '03
By Barry Schweid, Associated Press | June 11, 2004
WASHINGTON -- The State Department acknowledged yesterday
it was wrong to report that terrorism declined worldwide last year,
a finding that was used to boost one of President Bush's top foreign
policy claims, success in countering terror.
Instead, both the number of incidents and the toll in victims increased
sharply, the department said. Statements by senior administration
officials asserting success were based 'on the facts as we had them at
the time; the facts that we had were wrong,' department spokesman
Richard Boucher said.

Lies, lies and more lies
And they wonder why we despise
It seems that Bush has cooked the books
To change the story and how it looks
Last year they said to give him a lift
Terrorism declined, now there’s a gift
But now they report that was all wrong
That the arrogant Bush sang a false song
Terrorism actually rose and rose sharply
But this is a fact reported darkly
Released to be covered by Reagan’s death
The timing most cynical lost in the wreath
Such liars and frauds are these men
Playing political psyops with you and then
Hiding the truth to be covered by grief
Of one of their own, another life thief
Cynical ploys and political lies
And still they wonder why we despise
This Bush administration without pride
Uses bare-faced lies they try to hide
And all along sing a myth-making song
While babies die who never did wrong
Believing comforting lies that make you smile
And don’t think of those you defile
So Colin who gave us all those UN lies
About Iraqi labs and munitions and other cries?
What do you ask of us now about terror
And about this MOST convenient error?
“'I can assure you it had nothing to do with putting out anything but the most honest, accurate information we can.'
Oh yes, naturally we believe you Colin, of COURSE we do! You wouldn’t try to snow us AGAIN, now would you…? ;-)

Rhythmic and vitriolic as always.
How'd your council go last night? In or out? |

Hopefully the US will follow the England in getting rid of the defilers, liars, and cheats in the government. We have sat back and allowed this to go on too long. Get out and vote people and show them we are taking the controls back and they will no longer be allowed to run rough shod over us. We must never allow this to happen again. |

This poet who claims eyes of steel,
speaks what many of us feel.
That we've been caught in a web of lies,
and had the wool pulled cross our eyes.
A nation full of mislead sheep,
that cannot think,
but merely bleat.
The shepherd Bush thier only friend
against a list of foes that never end.

I agree with this totally. The Bush Administration has been feeding us lies, trying to calm us down. The truth is; Bush Lied, Soldiers Died and there's no cover-up for it, no matter how sweet the lie. I love the rhyme scheme and this is a wonderful poem. |
