*****************
I know no shame.
You were my lotus desire
I gathered you within my fire
I hope you fall.
Hope you call,
My filthy name.
It makes you crawl
on your knees,
with all your false pleas
Lie down,
look up at me.
Are you alive, and breathing?
Are you diseased, and bleeding?
I'll lift you high above me,
I'll have you dreaming.
It's time to say farewell,
to your pleading.
Poor devil
A ruin at my feet.
Go drop your little life,
and welcome up your sleep.
So briefly at my side.
So simple in defeat.
I will hear...
No more lies uttered from you.
From my eyes I destroy you.
I am now wise.
Nothing is new.
Tears for my trembling faith.
You shall not die unburned.
Goodbye my devil,
you wicked thing.
I have no tears,
Ugly thing.
No silver pail
to catch them in.
So ends this tale
you did not win

Dear NL,
'Poor devil
A ruin at my feet.
Go drop your little life,
and welcome up your sleep.'
With venom like this, dipped as it is, in the wonderfully crafted honeyed barbs of old youth, all else is is tastless. A stellar write from the vault.
