High School Crush

Topic: Lifepoems

I can't get her out of my mind
The mere thought---so sublime
I can't get her off of my brain
I think of her---Im going insane
I can't get her out of my head
Oh this thing!---how I dread
Refusal, Rejection, Put-Down, and Pain
Heartache, denial, a clown I am made
But maybe she feels the same as I do
Perhaps she has tried to give me a clue
And I so dumb-founded, oblivious too
May have missed the message that she threw
Fore I am seductively beguiled
While dreaming all the while
Of the reality we could bend
In the mere time that we might spend
How I long to be together
Whimsical dreams that float like feathers
But its a heavy burden I now hold
To be steadfast, courageous, bold?
Will this love, that we may have, last
Or will both our feelings fade as fast
As mine have come and with me stayed
My heart the instrument they have played
Oh courage be with me
Allow me to see
A flaw in her perfection
That might help ease my obsession
How I long to ask her the question
Yet blocked by that fear---Rejection
