The Reflection

Contributed by Hannah_Heaven on Thursday, 10th June 2004 @ 11:15:51 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

who is that girl
staring back at me
my reflection see?
but it doesnt seem to be moving
she looks asleep
an enchantment
cast over her years ago
to be loved by the sinned
to be hated by the fooled

shes not real
and i cant see
the real me
staring back out
lifless and cold

im fooled
am i really dead
or am i just not breathing
i cant see
the night dark
but all that shines is the reflection in the mirror
looking out
half alive
dreaming
that this reflection she sees is her own
but i know
i cant be a reflection
even though im stuck
and cant move
only through shadows
talking whispers
glints and shimmers
without this where will i hide
i cant find myself lost in your eyes
i can see the past as a present
and the future......there isnt one
your not real and you cant see me
and somehow youve got me fooled
by that face
engulphing me into the world
that bears tears and emotions
this is hell
