Diary of the abused

Contributed by sweetansexy on Thursday, 10th June 2004 @ 09:09:13 AM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

You say that you really love me
But how could that possibly be?
Love should not leave marks on my body
For everyone to see
I tell them I’m just clumsy
That I had another close call
Or better yet Ill tell them
That I took a nasty fall
I know they don’t believe me
The bruises I can’t hide
I guess they sit and wonder
Why you’re still by my side
I’m very sorry baby
Is always what you said
I’m scared to death that next time
I will end up dead
“Why did you make me hit you?
You know I’m not to blame
But you had to sit and continue
To play your stupid game”
I often sit and wonder
If you’re worth all the pain
Love is not supposed to hurt
You’re driving me insane
I try to get away from you
But you just follow me
Why can’t you leave me alone?
Why can’t you let it be?
I took you back again stupid as can be
Believing all the things
That you had said to me
This time was sure different
Exactly like you said
This time my biggest fear came true
And I did end up dead.

i think this is a great poem and that you conveyed your feelings well with your words.
